He says he carves “Ordinary people in extraordinary situations.” Marv’s carvings have claimed numerous blue ribbons at the International Woodcarving Congress in Davenport, IA. This scene, carved in basswood, is typical of Marv’s style. While one fisherman struggles to land the “Big one”, the other is not impressed. It looks like both are in for quite a surprise.
