Jack,
author of Carving Compact Characters and 50 Character Patterns
for Woodcarvers, is a retired Texas public school administrator
living in Cleburne, Texas. He began carving in 1975 and has specialized
in compact figures since 1978. Jack definitely doesn't believe that "bigger
is better," as most of his carvings are only 2-3 inches in height.
As he travels to display his carving talents, Jack is more than willing
to share his carving knowledge with others.
Jack
is a founding member of CCA. He also belongs to several woodcarving
groups and is past-president of the Texas Woodcarvers Guild.
Jack
is available to teach woodcarving seminars. He does not judge exhibits
or shows. His carvings are available for sale.
